The LPS calendar reflects our community's priorities
Littleton Public Schools operates on a traditional calendar. We typically begin the school year mid- to late-August, and we end before Memorial Day.
The LPS calendar is built with our community's priorities in mind. A committee, comprised of teachers, classified staff, students, parents, and community members, meets every two years to develop a school-year calendar that best meets the educational needs of the students we serve and their families.
Beginning in the fall of 2007, 10 days throughout the school year will begin two hours late. During this time, instructional staff will participate in professional learning communities. Learn more about this initiative, the district's achievement goal, and how this affects the district calendar.
