- District Emergency Procedures Handbook is in place and up-to-date.
- District Emergency Operations Center is established and equipped with dedicated phone lines.
- Conduct annual table top emergency response simulations.
- District Emergency Planning Committee is in place and meets monthly (Membership includes law enforcement and fire department representatives).
- LPS staff members attended a one week Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) multi-hazard safety program for schools.
- Continue to meet with emergency responders.
- School level emergency response plans will be refined to be consistent with the Incident Command System.
- Emergency Procedures Handbook has been printed in an easy to read, flip chart format and distributed to each classroom.
- Arapahoe County Sheriff’s and Littleton Police Departments have been given the district’s "Emergency Management Plan" and floor plans of all district buildings.
- Security and emergency planning improvements are budgeted for annually.
- Identified, numbered, and catalogued all windows, doors, and maintenance areas allowing ingress/egress to facilities district wide.
