 School Improvement Goals 2008 Update

  • Eighty-five percent of students in third through fifth grade will be proficient writers at their grade level by 2009 as measured by multiple indicators; percentage of third through fifth grade students achieving proficient and above scores in writing has increased every year for the past three years
  • By 2009, male students will improve their writing performance by seven percent for grades 3-5 as measured by multiple indicators; percentage of third through fifth grade males achieving proficient and above scores in writing has increased every year for the past three years 
  • By 2009, 80 percent of students, K-5 will achieve a persistence score of three or four on a scale of one to four, with four being highly persistent in the classroom
